Winter. The season for staying in, layering, and basically just trying to stay warm. And if the internet & movies are to be believed, the perfect time to have a significant other. For those who, like me, are one the single side this cold season do not fear, there are plenty of perks for us too.
1. Not having to shave your legs
One of the best things about winter is you can get away with letting your hair grow free because it's hidden by all the extra clothing. With only yourself concerned about it, you can keep up the maintenance or let it become an extra layer against the elements - it's completely your prerogative!

2. Marathon whatever
You can spend all weekend in your pyjamas watching Friends in bed and not have to consider what your partner would like to do, or rather be doing if they do join you.
3. Those winter pyjamas
In winter i like to wear approximately 13 layers to bed, including bed socks. With noone to impress and nothing but sleep to focus on, I can get dressed knowing full well that my layers are going to keep me warm all night long.

4. Cancelling plans
There is nothing quite like staying home on a freezing, rainy night. And it's much easier to do that when you have minimal social dates to keep you out. One less person to see, one more night in with a hot chocolate and doona.

So do not despair, while there are wonderful things about being in a winter relationship, there are some pretty cool things saved just for the single ladies (kind of, lots of partners probably wouldn't care about these things because they shouldn't but I'll take them anyway).
Happy winter!
